Russian Post became the only organization delivering pensions in cash. As noted earlier by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the presence of a single operator in this area will make the process more transparent and controllable.
The law, which makes the Post of Russia the sole operator for the delivery of pensions in cash, came into force on Monday. The new rules establish that from May 1, 2023, the delivery of pensions in cash will be carried out only by federal postal organizations, that is, by Russian Post.
Pension payments can be received at home or at the post office. Citizens will also retain the opportunity to receive pensions in a non-cash way, through a credit institution by crediting to a pension account.
To ensure continuous delivery, Russian Post has expanded its staff, according to the Ministry of Digital Development. The company has already offered cooperation to employees of other organizations involved in the delivery of pensions, and provided the necessary equipment and technical means to its employees and departments.
