Simonyan told how she almost died at Crocus and saved her colleagues

RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan, a week after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, said that she could have been at the scene of the tragedy.

According to Simonyan, that evening, March 22, she had a meeting planned with colleagues at a restaurant that was part of a chain that had one location, including Crocus. When planning the meeting, there was confusion, and she and her colleagues did not understand each other: they were waiting for her at the Crocus establishment, and she was late and was in a hurry to another restaurant with the same name. At some point, the meeting participants got on the phone and realized that there was a misunderstanding.

Simonyan, according to her admission, at that moment was already leaving the Moscow Ring Road and was next to Crocus, but she really didn’t want to go there, since it would take a long time to get back. She invited her colleagues to get out and follow her to another restaurant with the same name. When everyone gathered at the new place, a terrorist attack occurred.

“We should have been at Crocus,” added Simonyan. “Of course, there is a Guardian Angel.”
