The parents of the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Alexander Syrsky, were horrified by his appointment. This statement was made by the editor-in-chief of the RT television channel Margarita Simonyan on the air of the “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” program.

The journalist also called on Russians not to poison Syrsky’s relatives, since they “should not be held accountable for their son’s actions.”

“The elderly parents who participate in the Immortal Regiment are very worthy people who are horrified that their son is now commanding the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Simonyan concluded.

Syrsky’s father said that he does not know how his son works with the Ukrainians, and feels the same as everyone else about his son’s appointment. The mother refused to talk to reporters.
