The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of the Russian Federation began an inspection of the singer Laima Vaikule. About it reports Telegram channel SHOT.

According to the channel, the head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption (FPBC), Vitaly Borodin, wrote an appeal to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, demanding that the artist be prosecuted under the article “Rehabilitation of Nazism.”

It is noted that the application has already been transferred from the prosecutor’s office to the Federal Tax Service, as well as the Internal Affairs Directorate for the Western Administrative District of Moscow.

As the SHOT channel previously reported, the reason for checking Vaikule was her statement that monuments to Soviet soldiers have no artistic value, which is why they need to be demolished. In addition, she stated that she does not understand people who bow their heads in front of materials.
