SHOT: an accountant in Crimea stole 1.8 million rubles from payments to the military

For a year and a half, the chief accountant of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Razdolnensky district of Crimea transferred 1.8 million rubles to her card, which were intended for payments to the military working under the contract.
The woman has been working in the authorities since 1999, in 2014 she was promoted to chief accountant. The investigation found that she had been transferring funds to two of her accounts since June 2021. According to the TG channel SHOTthe chief accountant sent the money with the note “transfer of monetary allowances to military personnel and employees with a special rank.”
They managed to catch her by the hand in November 2022. The woman was subjected to a background check. According to its results, the fraudster was fired, and all the materials were handed over to the police.
After that, the woman wrote a confession. The issue of initiating a criminal case under the article on misappropriation or embezzlement is being resolved.
