Shoigu spoke about taking control of seven settlements during a special operation

The Russian military liberated seven settlements in the Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions during a special operation in Ukraine, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.
“As a result of the offensive actions of our troops in the Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the settlements of Soledar, Kleshcheevka, Podgornoye, Krasnopolye, Blagodatnoye, Lobkovoe and Nikolaevka were liberated,” Shoigu announced at a conference call (quote according to RIA Novosti).
According to the Minister of Defense, military operations are currently successfully developing in the areas of Ugledar and Artemovsk.
On February 4, the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian servicemen had ousted the Ukrainian military from the western outskirts of the village of Dvurechnoye in the Kharkiv region. The ministry also reported that army aviation and artillery defeated the formations of the 92nd mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Krakhmalny and Berestovoye districts of the Kharkiv region.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
