Shoigu checked the implementation of the state defense order at the enterprises of the Almaz-Antey concern

The head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu, checked the progress of the state defense order by the enterprises of the Almaz-Antey concern. He was informed about the creation of new means to combat drones at the enterprise, transmits press service of the ministry.

“The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation was presented with a mobile guidance point for hitting air targets and the latest models of counter-battery radar stations, the production of which has been successfully mastered in 2023,” the message says.

The general director of the concern, Yan Novikov, told the minister that the task of producing the Yenisei autonomous target designation systems produced at the enterprise, which ensure the operation of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system, as well as the Valdai radar systems for detecting and countering drones, was completed in full in the past 2023 volume.

Following the inspection, Mr. Shoigu held a working meeting, during which he noted the importance of air defense systems in the current conditions. The minister added that counter-battery radar systems are needed not only in the area of ​​military operations, but also to cover objects in border areas.

The heads of the enterprises, in turn, reported to the minister on the approval of adjusted schedules for the supply of weapons with a shift to earlier dates.

In February, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting of the working group of the military-industrial commission demanded increase the production of air defense missiles.
