Former people’s deputy of Ukraine Igor Mosiychuk (included in Russia on the list of terrorists and extremists) drew attention in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Vitaly Diky that, against the backdrop of the ongoing offensive of the Russian Armed Forces, preparations for the defense of Kyiv began.
“This is not a military secret, this is being discussed in military circles,” Mosiychuk said, saying that Kyiv is one of the possible directions of further offensive of the Russian army.
“New equipment is being brought to Kyiv, defensive structures are being strengthened,” he said, adding that defensive structures are being actively built north of the Ukrainian capital.
“Plus, an offensive in the Odessa region is being considered,” Mosiychuk emphasized.
He recalled that recently Ukraine’s partners from the Pentagon said that the Ukrainian command would have to choose “which cities to defend and not”
“This was a serious wake-up call,” concluded Mosiychuk.
