Shebekin residents beg the authorities to take their children to Belgorod schools: “There is no strength to endure remote work!”

Recently, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced that schools in Belgorod and most of the region’s territories would resume full-time education from September 1. He also listed the areas where the distance will remain: these are Shebekinsky, Valuysky, Graivoronsky districts, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Volokonovsky, Borisovsky districts and border settlements of the Belgorod region.

Lyubov, a resident of the village of Bochkovka, Belgorod region, said that this year her child is going to first grade. “How can you teach in the first grade without a teacher?! I understand perfectly well what our situation is, but maybe you can think of something? For example, in an organized way to take out to other schools, especially first-graders!” she says.

“We live in the Shebekinsky district, but our situation is normal, and for the second year they want to send us to the distance again,” one of the mothers complained. – How so? Shebekino was opened for entry and exit, they are restoring it, and let the children sit at home like fools? I can’t teach a child, I’m not a teacher…

Parents of older children, on the contrary, believe that “first grade is not seventh or eighth.” “I did my homework until the fourth grade without any problems. And you open a seventh-grade math textbook and try to explain something to a child who does not understand anything, since a 30-minute “rattling” of a teacher on Viber is absolutely not enough to understand the topic, ”complained another parent.

Some mothers, however, believe that life safety is more important:

– Distance is the way out! You can contact the tutor, we did it. And how can you send your child to school when you don’t know where you’ll be flying to?! Children, even when they sit at home, when they bang, they have tears in a hail! Afraid!

One of the residents of Shebekino turned to the Governor of the Belgorod Region Vyacheslav Gladkov: “Will there be assistance in transferring children from Shebekino to Belgorod schools and organizing the delivery of children to the place of study?” “If the situation does not allow full-time education to be introduced in Shebekino,” Gladkov answered, “we will offer parents to bring their children to Belgorod schools on the second shift.”

“Such a format is hardly possible,” one of the local mothers commented to MK. – There are a lot of children, which means that again they will have to be collected in one place in order to put them on school buses … And this is dangerous.

Also, people are perplexed: what will happen to teachers in this case? “They will go to work in Belgorod, and at night back to Shebekino? Who would agree to this?” residents are surprised.

Meanwhile, Gladkov held a meeting with Belgorod school directors and admitted that “one more year of distance learning and the children will forget how to read and write.” The governor called the situation a “catastrophe.”

The former resident of Shebekino Nadezhda, whom MK contacted, had a son who moved to the third grade. In early June, she moved to Belgorod with him and her mother, staying with relatives. The woman complained that she could not find suitable rental housing in any way, since there was a huge influx of Shebekin residents in Belgorod, and “normal” apartments were snapped up. And for the rest wildly inflated prices – up to 30-35 thousand rubles a month. Such a price was previously unthinkable.

“I’m disgusting about telecommuting,” she says. – The son studied normally in the first grade, in the second from the end of October they were sent to distance learning. And he never came to school again. Do you know how our distance went? For example, shelling begins, and we have remote lessons. My son was at home with his disabled grandmother because I worked two jobs. Because of the shelling, the lessons stop, the Internet disappears, there is no lesson, respectively. They tell us: open this page, study this topic, explain to the child, do five tasks … And so I come home from work in the evening at eight o’clock. And we sit down to do homework, and do them until twelve or one in the morning … I explain the topic, then we make a draft, a clean copy, then we take pictures and send them to the teacher. My son is an excellent student, but it’s so hard!.. It’s a pity for teachers too, they also suffer from distance learning. Lessons are sent to them around the clock for verification … All the “bumps” from their parents fly at them, although they are forced people, they do what they were told …

We were told that the border schools would not work in person again from the new academic year. It is clear that for security purposes. But learning at a distance is a darkness…

Nadezhda added that she plans to stay in Belgorod for the time being.

– Have you already found out about the school in the new place?

– My friend, who also moved to Belgorod, said that she now tried to enroll her child in the first grade in her area, but she was told that “there are no places, look for another school.” All faced the problem of placing children in educational institutions. I haven’t found out about the school yet, I think it’s too early. I would very much like to return to full-time education by the beginning of the school year!

I can’t say anything yet about whether we will return home, the prospects are vague … But, to be honest, I have no particular desire to return. Still, I plan to start a new life in a new place in Belgorod, – the woman concluded.

… And there is the same problem with kindergartens. “Should we also go to Belgorod? asks one of the mothers. “When will our children finally go to kindergarten normally, and parents to work?”
