Investigative Committee opened a case on the death of patients of a psycho-neurological boarding school in St. Petersburg
Since 2022, six residents of a psycho-neurological boarding school have died in St. Petersburg. It is reported by RT with reference to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the city of St. Petersburg.
According to investigators, the employees of the medical institution were negligent in their professional duties of caring for citizens suffering from mental illness. As a result, this led to the death by negligence of six residents of the boarding school in the period from 2022.
As clarified in the UK, all the dead were adults. A criminal case was opened under the article on causing death by negligence.
At the moment, all the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
Recall that the philanthropist Nyuta Federmesser shared information about the death of patients in a psychoneurological boarding school in St. Petersburg the day before. According to her, recently seven orphans have died from exhaustion within the walls of the institution. After that, the local prosecutor’s office announced an inspection.
