Serpukhovichi won 25 medals at the open sambo tournament

Serpukhov’s open sambo tournament dedicated to the Victory Day was held at the Russian Medved sports and recreation complex. More than 100 young athletes from Serpukhov, Protvino, Pushchino and Chekhov gathered here to demonstrate their strength.

Within the framework of the United Russia party project Za Sambo, the event was organized to support the development of combat and combat sports among young people. The grand opening began with the words of congratulations from all participants and guests of the tournament on May 9.

Chairman of the Federation of Judo, Sambo and Combat Sambo of Serpukhov, Honored Coach of Russia Mikhail Shulga addressed the young wrestlers with a welcoming speech. He noted the importance of such events for the development of children’s and youth sports and wished all the participants of the tournament good luck and success.

Then competitions began, where young sambists demonstrated their skills and strength. The participants fought in various weight categories and age groups, and the audience followed the course of the competition with interest.

At the end of the tournament, the winners were announced, who were awarded prizes and certificates. Serpukhov athletes managed to take the following places:

– Denis Karpov, Adam Elistratov, Nikita Plotnikov and Timur Zakaryaev became champions in the age category born in 2011-2012, taking first place. Bronze medalists – Matvey Fokin; Nikita Peredniy, Karim Dzharasov, Pavel Elagin;

– in the age category born in 2013-2014 Ivan Mukhin, Artem Besfamilny, Matvey Kapustin took the first place, Denis Abdulaev, Alexander Klishin, Fedor Murashchenkov took the second place, and Ivan Peredny, Miron Pavlov, Ilya Sorokin, Ivan Logunkov, Evgeny Serebryannikov, Sergey Simkin, Kirill Samokhin, bronze medalists, Maxim Avtomanov, Vadim Rozhkovsky, Vali Salokhov.

Behind every athlete are the efforts of coaches who spend a lot of time and energy on their preparation. Without their work and guidance, these young people would not have been able to achieve such results. In addition, such competitions help young athletes develop their skills, teach them to work in a team, as well as show endurance and perseverance in achieving their goals. This is important for their further development as athletes and as individuals.
