This opinion was expressed by the first deputy head of the presidential administration of Russia Sergei Kiriyenko. He noted that this applies not only to higher education, in the light of the rejection of the Bologna system, but also to secondary education.
He noted that it is necessary to choose all the best that is in the Russian school, was in the Soviet and exists in the world tradition of education. At the same time, unique experience has been accumulated in the Russian education system. Traditions have evolved over the centuries and cannot be lost. It is important to find the right balance between traditions and modern achievements of science, the official noted.
Recall that in his message to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the country is moving away from the Western system of education in universities. He proposed to return the traditional terms of study in higher education – from 4 to 6 years. The head of state stressed that the transition to the new education system should be smooth.
