Singer Sergei Belikov is going through difficult times. The performer of the hits “I Dream of a Village” and “Night Guest” suddenly found himself on the street. His wife Elena, with whom he lived most of his life, kicked the artist out the door with his things. The woman believes that the singer has led a double life all these years.

Sergei Belikov denies all charges. The singer admitted: on his 69th birthday he was expecting congratulations from his wife. Belikov told MK correspondents about his plans for the future and the main outlet of his life at the moment.

“I didn’t celebrate my birthday in any way: I was on the road, the next day I had a performance in Mogilev,” says Sergei. – I didn’t organize any lavish celebrations. Because I don’t like feasts in principle.

— Probably, sad events in your personal life left their mark?

– To some extent, yes. What happened to me happened. This is humanly sad. All this is a reason in one’s declining years to think about how this could have happened and how to treat it: as a test or as a punishment. If it’s like a test, then the question arises: “Why?” Or, if as a punishment, then the question: “For what?”

—Have you answered this question for yourself?

– No, I didn’t answer. So far I have come to the conclusion that this is life. It happens.

— Didn’t your wife wish you a happy birthday?

– No, I didn’t congratulate you. Although to some extent I hoped that he would congratulate me.

—Where do you live now?

– In a rented apartment.

-What do you dream about?

– There is no dream. At work, I continue my life, which consists of staying in shape, touring successfully and successfully from the point of view of audience interest. To help raise a grandson, to remain his mentor and coach in life and in sports. Although, due to the fact that he is growing, he has professional trainers. Grandfather is now less of a coach and mentor. More like a spectator from the outside.

— Is your grandson proud that he has such a grandfather?

– I never asked him about this. When he was a preschooler, he was clearly childishly proud. Because he saw respect for me from adults. When I was Timofey’s mentor, for a number of years I unwittingly trained not only him, but also many other children who gathered and crowded around us when we came to the stadium in Sviblovo. Grandparents brought their boys too. I gathered five or ten children and played football with them as a coach, helping them translate their passion into a more meaningful game. Timofey saw all this and, of course, was proud. It was noticeable. And the grandmothers and girlfriends of these boys did not hide their respect and gratitude to me.

— You talk about your grandson with such reverence. Is he the main outlet for you now?

“He is the most important person in my life.” Because we’ve been great friends all these years. All my friends said: “Look, Serge, Timofey just stuck to you!” We lived like this all the years. And now everything continues. My grandson, of course, wished me a happy birthday: we communicate almost every day.

— Do your star friends support you in such a difficult situation?

-I don’t need anyone’s support. I received some words from a number of my acquaintances, including artists. But I take this philosophically. I understand that, first of all, this is my business and my path.

– As long as you pass it, judging by your voice, quite confidently!

– Yes, I can stand it.

— If you can’t make peace with your wife, will you think about a new marriage?

— When you are almost 70 years old, you don’t really think about whether there will be a marriage or not. You look at life more broadly.
