Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that over the past year, everyone could be convinced of Belgrade’s position on anti-Russian sanctions – their country will introduce them only if its vital interests are threatened.
“We will see how long we can defend this position,” Vucic said, quoted by RIA Novosti, “in any case, not at the cost of threatening the vital interests of our country.”
At the same time, he stressed: “we will not easily renounce this position.”
Vučić compared Serbia to the Gauls from the Asterix and Obelix comics. Like this tribe, Belgrade does not give up and protects its freedom as much as it can.
Earlier, Alexander Vučić said that in the Ukrainian conflict, peace could be achieved soon.
