The first deputy head of the Economic Committee of the Federation Council, Ivan Abramov, expressed the view that the Ministry of Transport, the Federal Air Transport Agency and airlines need to develop new ways to counter air brawlers. The senator expressed readiness to consider relevant legislative initiatives.
According to Abramov, airlines should have the right to draw up lists of passengers who are prohibited from using their services, but all facts must be documented. The purchase of a ticket must be refused, including for the commission of an offense relating to the safety of citizens, they must not be re-admitted to the aircraft, they must be denied the purchase of a ticket.
The senator also suggested using a gradation of responsibility by time. “If a person committed an offense at 18, this does not mean that at 80 he will also not be able to fly,” he said.
