By order of Beglov, security measures in public places have been strengthened in St. Petersburg

Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov announced additional measures aimed at strengthening control over security in places where people gather in large numbers. This decision was made after an extraordinary meeting of the city’s anti-terrorism commission and the operational headquarters, writes the official Telegram channel of the city government.

According to Smolny, constant monitoring has been introduced over the work of sports facilities, schools, hospitals, transport, shopping and entertainment centers, universities and theaters. In addition, security control at healthcare, education, life support, energy, social infrastructure, sports, cultural and religious facilities has been strengthened.

“The situation places increased demands on our common work to counter terrorism. Ensuring the safety of facilities and places of public gathering should be a priority in the work of managers at all levels,” said the head of the city.

However, in addition to strengthening controls, it is also important to pay attention to other aspects of security. For example, training citizens in the basics of self-defense and rules of conduct in extreme situations can play an important role in preventing and minimizing possible threats. Conducting training simulations and exercises for security personnel will help improve the overall level of preparedness for possible emergencies.

Strengthening measures to ensure the safety of citizens in places of mass gathering is carried out by order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
