Secondary school students begin to write All-Russian test papers

Today, students in grades 5-9 will start writing All-Russian test papers, which were partially rescheduled from spring 2022 to autumn. Why partially? Because some schools still carried out verification work. And they don’t have to do it again.
Those who did not participate in the VPR in the spring will write them, moreover, according to the programs of the last year of study. It is assumed that in total such “test papers” will be written by about 7.5 million schoolchildren.
Compulsory for all students in grades 5-9 will be VPR in the Russian language and mathematics. Further, the compulsory disciplines are distributed as follows: fifth graders will write a VPR on the world around them, sixth graders in biology and history, and eighth graders in a foreign language. Students in the seventh through ninth grades will write test papers in two more subjects on a random basis: in the seventh grades these can be papers in history, biology, geography and social studies, in the eighth grades physics is added to these subjects, and in the ninth grades also chemistry.
The VPR will last until October 24. It is recommended that schools allocate one lesson (45 minutes) to the work itself, in addition to test papers in the Russian language and mathematics in grades 6-9 and in chemistry in grade 9. Here it is recommended to devote more time to work.
