Moscow plants increased the production of electrical equipment by almost 40% in seven months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.

“Capital enterprises produce lighting fixtures, cables, electric motors, generators, transformers and switchgears,” said Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations.

According to Efimov, during this time the enterprises provided customers with electrical equipment worth 54.9 billion rubles. It should be noted that this is more than 7% higher than the figure for January-July 2021.

“More than 170 enterprises produce electrical equipment in the city. For example, over 7 months of the year, the volume of deliveries of electric motors, transformers, generators, instrumentation and switchgear increased by 18.6% compared to January-July 2021,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

The systemic and anti-crisis support of the city helps to increase production volumes. The Moscow Industry and Entrepreneurship Support Fund accepts applications for preferential investment loans. In July, the rate on them was reduced to 3%, while the maximum loan amount was increased to 3 billion rubles. For example, this money can be used to purchase equipment or reconstruct industrial infrastructure.
