This morning, April 28, searches were carried out at the home of three lawyers from the human rights organization Team Against Torture (the CPT, formerly the Committee Against Torture, was recognized as a foreign agent) in Nizhny Novgorod. The CPT announced this on its Telegram channel.
In particular, searches were carried out at the head of the international legal protection department of the checkpoint, Olga Sadovskaya. After that, the police officers arrived at the office of the human rights organization.
The checkpoint says that the visit of the security forces is connected with a case that human rights activists are accompanying in one of the Russian regions. In the interests of the applicant, his name, details of the case and the reasons for the searches at the checkpoint are not yet disclosed.
