Representatives of the Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported that the cause of abnormal behavior and death of roe deer in the Kurgan region was an infection. According to scientists, this is clostridiosis, the causative agent of which can persist in the soil in the form of spores for quite a long time.
So far, the situation with the disease of wild animals in the region is simply being monitored, since the outbreak is likely to die out without external intervention. But if monitoring shows the further spread of the focus of the disease, specialists will begin to take appropriate measures.
Earlier it was reported that residents of the Dalmatovsky and Shadrinsk districts of the region noticed animals in the surrounding forests that walked in a circle, convulsed and fell, while they had bruises on their eyes and body.
