Development of skin and breast cancer may be associated with educational level

Skin or breast cancer develops in people with higher education. And cancer of the throat, brain and lungs occurs in those whose level of education is low. These are the results of a study by Belgian scientists. They were published in the newspaper De Standaard. In total, seven million Belgians were examined.

300 thousand participants in the experiment were diagnosed with cancer. Scientists began to analyze this group, comparing the type of disease with education, family composition and even property ownership. Then they tried to explain their findings.

Thus, according to scientists, people with a low level of education smoke more. Hence lung cancer. But those who study a lot and then make a career do not risk having children at an early age. And this is a risk factor for breast cancer.

The researchers also took into account the stage at which the disease was detected. In unstable socioeconomic groups, the tumor was detected later.
