Bloomberg: Water contains dangerous nanoplastics
Bloomberg reported that the water contained nanoplastics that are hazardous to health.
It is clarified that scientists from Columbia University conducted a study and found out the level of nanoplastics in water – particles less than 1 micrometer in length. Previously, chemists only took into account microplastics, up to 600 micrometers long.
“According to the study, there are about 240 thousand plastic particles in a one-liter bottle of water,” the scientists noted.
According to them, the danger of nanoplastic lies in its ability, due to its tiny size, to enter the blood and human cells.
