Sleeping alone is healthier than sleeping with a partner, say biologists from the University of Michigan
Biologists from the University of Michigan conducted an experiment with mice, which resulted in the conclusion that sleeping alone is more beneficial than sleeping with a partner.
The authors of the scientific work gave the mice the choice of sleeping alone in a room equipped for this purpose or with other individuals. The animals more often chose the second option, although in their sleep they involuntarily prevented each other from getting enough sleep.
Scientists suggest that the desire to sleep together is due to an evolutionary need for security.
