Scientists are alarmed by a new consequence of global warming: seismic microwaves

Climatologists published a paper in the journal Nature Communications on a phenomenon called seismic microwaves, or microseisms. They arise when ocean waves impact the bottom and shores and are recorded by instruments in the form of stable noise.
The energy of seismic waves, according to climatologists, has grown on average by 0.27 percent annually since 1980, and by 0.35 percent since 2000.
Microseismic waves themselves do not pose a danger, but an increase in their power indirectly indicates that storms on the planet will become more frequent and more powerful. Global warming causes the ocean to absorb additional energy that is released through waves and storms, and microseism is one of the consequences.
