Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a resolution allowing scientific organizations to train students in specialist programs on a par with universities. This was reported press office government.
“The government approved the rules for the formation of a list of scientific organizations that will be able to train highly qualified specialists in specialist degree programs for technological development and modernization of the country’s economy,” the press service said.
Scientific organizations for training within the framework of the specialty must have experience in teaching students in the framework of a master’s degree, postgraduate study or residency, take part in one of the national projects or in a grant program to support the scientific and technical work of young researchers and students.
May 12 President Vladimir Putin signed decree on a pilot project to abandon the Bologna system. Bachelor’s and master’s programs will disappear in higher educational institutions, and in return there will be a basic higher education for a period of four to six years and a specialized one for one to three years.
