Schools in Udmurtia switch to distance learning due to abnormal cold

Frosts are expected in Udmurtia until January 11, when the average daily air temperature will drop at least 7 ° below the climatic norm. On January 8, the temperature dropped to -35°С in the republic, and on January 9 it is expected to reach -36°С. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Udmurtia with reference to the data of the hydrometeorological center.
Due to abnormal cold weather in Izhevsk, daytime and evening festive New Year events in open areas were canceled.
The administrations of districts and cities of Udmurtia announce the transfer of schools and institutions of additional education to distance learning on January 9. In Sarapul and Votkinsk, this mode of operation will last until January 11.
At the same time, preschool institutions will continue to work as usual.
