Distance learning will be introduced in secondary schools and colleges in Belgorod, nine border municipalities and the Yakovlevsky urban district of the Belgorod region until December 1.

Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that the decision to transfer schools to distance learning was made at the second meeting of the operational headquarters as part of the execution of the presidential decree on the introduction of a medium level of response in the region. In this format, educational institutions will start working after the end of the holidays – from the beginning of next week.

“I hope that you all understand, dear friends, dear parents, dear teachers, of course, the most important thing, dear children, is that this measure is forced. I hope that there will be no further extension of the distance format, because, of course, children need to communicate with the teacher, ”the governor said in a video message published on his page in “In contact with”.

School holidays in the Belgorod region began earlier than usual, on October 17th. A week before, all schools, colleges and universities of the regional center and nine municipalities translated for distance learning. The decision was explained by the action of an increased level of terrorist threat. Since the beginning of October, shelling of the border areas of the Belgorod region has become more frequent.
