Analyst “Kontur.Market” Daria Zhigalina explains the rise in prices by difficulties with logistics in the case of foreign brands. According to her, they can be replaced by brands from China and other countries, but their prices are not lower.

For other goods prices have not changed or have decreased. On average, a set of pencils still costs 51 rubles. Notebooks, pencil cases, pens and felt-tip pens fell in price by 13%, 4.7%, 1.6% and 1% respectively. Counter Market warns that from the second half of August until the beginning of September there is a peak in sales, which leads to a sharp rise in prices. So, in August 2022, pens went up by 58%, notebooks – by 39%, pencil cases – by 29%.
