Scholz: some countries are discussing peace in Ukraine
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in conversation with the publication Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung stated that some countries are now discussing the prospects for peace in Ukraine.
According to him, some countries, including Ukraine, are discussing at the security adviser level what it might look like that could ultimately lead to a peace process.
“Let me make one thing clear: peace is possible at any time,” Scholz said.
He clarified that for this, Russian President Vladimir Putin “needs to withdraw troops and end the conflict.”
Let us recall that earlier Scholz confirmed his decision to refuse the supply of long-range Taurus cruise missiles to the territory of Ukraine. Among other things, he refused to send the military there.
