SBU detained Shariy’s comrade-in-arms in Odessa for cooperation with Russia

The press service of the SBU reported that in Odessa, as a result of a multi-stage special operation of counterintelligence, a lawyer was detained, who had previously been an assistant to several deputies of the Sharia party.

The SBU claims that the detainee, while in Simferopol, was recruited by the GRU of the General Staff of the Russian Federation and then handed over targets for strikes in the Odessa region to the Russian special services, and also reported on the consequences of the strikes.

The report says that the detainee has an operational pseudonym “Diezel”. His wife, according to the SBU, lives in St. Petersburg and also works for the Russian special services.

The founder of the Sharia Party banned in Ukraine, opposition Ukrainian journalist Anatoly Shariy, who is outside Ukraine, commenting on the message that appeared, noted in his Telegram channel that the members of the party with whom the detained lawyer collaborated had long been expelled from the organization as “spies and scoundrels.” He accused the Ukrainian media of falsifications, and called the SBU a “criminal organization” whose members “one day will be responsible for everything they did.”
