The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, announced on behalf of his state that he was ready to mediate between Moscow and Kiev.
The crown prince made the statement at the Arab League summit, which opened on May 19 in Jeddah. Reuters writes about it.
“We support efforts to help resolve the Ukrainian conflict,” Mohammed bin Salman was quoted as saying by the agency.
Mohammed bin Salman was born on August 31, 1985. He is considered the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia. From 2015 to 2022, he served as Minister of Defense. In 2022, he was appointed Prime Minister of the Kingdom. Mohammed bin Salman chairs the Economic and Development Council and the Political and Security Council.
Earlier, the head of the South African Republic, Cyril Ramaphosa, took the initiative to create a mission to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. According to the President of South Africa, the leaders of Senegal, Uganda, Zambia, Egypt, Congo and South Africa could visit Ukraine and Russia and help solve problems.
