The administration of Saratov gave an apartment to a resident of Saratov, Svetlana Erakhtina, who more than 20 years ago was temporarily settled in a non-residential building – kindergarten No. 124. About it reported in the press service of the mayor’s office. As follows from the release, Mrs. Erakhtina, together with her family, received an apartment with an area of “at least 125.19 sq. m “- thus the administration executed the decision of the Volzhsky district court, issued back in 2017.
The story of Svetlana Erakhtina attracted media attention in the summer of 2021. Then the journalists found out that the woman had been registered in a municipal institution since 1998. In 2012, the leadership of the kindergarten tried to evict the Erakhtina family, and the case went to trial. The court, however, did not evict the woman, noting that “everything needed for living is available.”
Finally, in 2017, the Volzhsky District Court of Saratov, at the suit of a Saratov woman, ordered the mayor’s office to provide her with an apartment. It took the city about six years to implement the decision. As stated in the mayor’s office, “coordinated work of the municipality and supervisory authorities” helped to resolve the situation.
