Saransk airport was temporarily closed due to a plane that rolled off the runway

Aircraft (MOEX: SMLT) Superjet skidded off the runway at Saransk airport. No one was injured, but the airport had to be temporarily closed due to the incident, the Federal Air Transport Agency told TASS.
The incident occurred at 20.34 Moscow time. At 21.12 Moscow time, passengers were disembarked using the airport’s standard ramp. The plane is preparing to be towed to the parking lot.
The press service of Rossiya Airlines told RIA Novosti that the reason was the discrepancy between the actual condition of the runway and the declared parameters. As a result, the plane rolled off the runway by about 10 m.
According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, the plane was performing a commercial flight from Moscow. There were 93 people on board: six crew members and 87 passengers.
