At the very height of the working day, loud singing was heard in the editorial office of Moskovsky Komsomolets. The employees who poured out of the offices did not very harmoniously deduce: “A Christmas tree was born in the forest.” The soloist was an old man’s, but strong voice – Father Frost came to us with his granddaughter, the Kostroma Snegurochka. The guests visited the MK press center, told what they would like to receive as a gift, what surprises the coming year is preparing for us, and also warned against being overly fond of the Black Rabbit, the Chinese symbol of 2023.
It was, of course, a game – but a very serious one. Adults, forgetting about business, took Santa Claus in a tight ring. Someone brought their children and grandchildren with them – this is also a tradition that we observe every year. Fireworks successfully replaced the sparkle of smartphone flashes – everyone wanted to take a selfie with Santa Claus, and he did not refuse anyone. And after the obligatory round dances, gifts and congratulations, I talked a little – about time and about myself.
– Grandfather, you give gifts to everyone, but what would you like to receive for the New Year?
“I don’t need anything, I have everything. I have many friends, a granddaughter next to me. The people love it, especially the kids. This is the greatest happiness – the love of the people, people, both small and large – this is the most important thing.

And who doesn’t love sweets? Oh what are you! I like honey with pleasure, and I also love jam. And no matter what.
– Grandfather Frost, tell us what will the Rabbit bring us in the New Year? The animal is fluffy, probably, and the year will be just as easy and calm?
– The animal is fluffy, nevertheless, his suit is dark. Therefore, one should not expect preferences and great goodness from him: one must rely on oneself and do everything in good conscience. In general, I prefer our Slavic totem horoscope – it is somehow closer to us, clearer and more cordial.

– When adults come a little tipsy and start to play pranks. I appeal to everyone who loves this business – be careful!
