Sambists of Buryatia won more than 40 medals at the home tournament

The team of Buryatia managed to win 42 medals at the interregional sambo tournament, which took place the day before in Ulan-Ude. The result of our athletes is ten gold, seven silver and 25 bronze medals.
The tournament among youths and veterans of sambo of Buryatia in memory of Sergey Sobolev managed to bring together 168 young athletes from Buryatia, the Irkutsk region, the Trans-Baikal Territory and Mongolia in the FSC. Medals were played in 10 weight categories.
In his congratulatory speech, the Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth Policy of Buryatia, Erdem Biliktuev, said that sambo in our republic is one of the mass and productive sports.
– I am sure that the young generation of sambists will soon represent Buryatia with honor at the highest level competitions.
