Alpine skiers from the Sakhalin region won first place in the team competition of the Russian Cup. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the island region.

The Russian Alpine Ski Federation summed up the results of the 2023-2024 National Cup in the team competition. The tournament took place from December 1, 2023 to April 12, 2024, and athletes from 20 regions of the country competed for points.

“The Sakhalin region took first place (2843 points). The team’s scoring points were brought to them by Pavel Bykov, Karina Gaidamashchuk, Artem Gorislavsky, Yuri Drugov, Roman Zveryan, Darina Iokhvidovich, Artem Kashintsev, Rinata Kashintseva, Daria Kosolapova, Sofia Krokhina, Alexander Kudryavtsev, Alexander Mikhailov, Dmitry Pyshkin, Yana Frolova, Nazar Chernov, Anna Shukhov,” the press service noted.

In second place is Moscow with 2767 points; the top three is completed by the Kamchatka team, which has 2337 points. The Moscow region also made it into the TOP 5, earning 2219 points, and the Kaluga region, whose athletes earned a total of 1806 points.

In the individual competition, Sofia Krokhina has the best results among the islanders, she is in sixth place in the ranking, and Artem Kashintsev, he is in tenth place.
