Sakhalin residents became two-time winners of the Far East Cup “TRP Games”

The Sakhalin adult team for the second time became the winners of the team competition of the 2nd Open Cup of the Far East “GTO Games”. At this stage, the island region was represented by Nikolai Voitekhovich, Irina Khon, Anton Govorukhin, Svetlana Kuzmina, Evgeniy Dorokhov and Alexandra Ponizovich.
In the first days of the Games, participants competed in swimming, the GTO relay, running and a complex of tests on a bike. High results allowed the Sakhalin team to lead the standings and reach the Cup final.
On the final day of the team competition, the participants were treated to a relay race with an obstacle course: men with laser weapons in their hands and shooting, women with a medical bag and first aid.
High results during most of the complexes allowed the Sakhalin residents to take the lead and become champions of the team stage of the 2nd Open Cup of the Far East “GTO Games”. This is already the second victory at the Games for the island region – last year the Competition Cup was won by Evgeniy Dorokhov, Olga Pavlova, Marina Chim and Nikolai Voitekhovich. The teams are prepared by the head of the Sakhalin testing center for the GTO complex, Viktor Palshin.
The challenges for the participants do not end there. On September 16 and 17, the junior team of the Sakhalin region will enter the fight for the cup. It included Ilya Bogatyrev, Anna Strukova, Egor Shapoval, Diana Kim, Alexey Kuminov and Svetlana Martynyuk, who showed the best results at the qualifying stage, will test their strength in various tests of the GTO complex and more.
