Safran buys a division of Raytheon – Kommersant

French concern Safran SA announced on the purchase of one of the aerospace divisions of the American Raytheon Technologies Corp for $1.8 billion in cash. The acquired division, Collins Aerospace, specializes in avionics, flight control systems and related technologies.
The message did not become a sensation. Back in January of this year, Bloomberg reported that Raytheon was considering selling the unit. And in early June Safran informedthat is negotiating the purchase.
According to forecasts of the French military-industrial concern, the deal will bring it an additional $1.5 billion in sales and approximately $130 million in EBITDA next year.
