Moscow has sent about 9,000 firefighters to put out a fire in the forests of the Ryazan region, the smoke from which has made breathing difficult for residents of the capital in the past few days. The reason for the current situation, the acting governor called extremely unfavorable weather conditions. Hot weather will stay in Central Russia until at least Thursday.
Today the Ryazan region was visited by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin. Smoke and fumes from fires in the region have been preventing residents of the capital from breathing for several days.
Mr. Sobyanin said that at the request of the Ministry of Natural Resources, a group of rescuers of 8.5 thousand people and more than 200 units of special equipment, including off-road vehicles, were additionally mobilized the day before.

The work of the medical service has been strengthened in the forest fire zone, wrote in Telegram channel Acting Minister of Health of the Ryazan Region Vladimir Khominets: “At the moment, an air ambulance helicopter of the Disaster Medicine Service of the city of Moscow is already in place, we are waiting for the arrival of five more ambulances. Thank you for your support in a difficult situation for our region! The city ambulance station organized round-the-clock duty of brigades. In the settlements of Olgino, Golovanovo, Deulino and Stary Kudum, the work of doctors has been intensified.”
A temporary accommodation center has been set up in the secondary school of the working settlement of Tuma, in which there are 20 residents of the village of Golovanovo, reported TASS in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Ryazan region. The day before, 100 people were evacuated to Golovanovo and Olgino due to high fire danger. In Deulino, a partial evacuation was cancelled.
