The Russian app store for Android RuStore is being adapted to work on TVs, set-top boxes and tablets. About this TASS reported in the press service of VK (owns RuStore).
“In 2023, RuStore will be available and adapted to work on different devices – TVs, set-top boxes, and will also open monetization tools for individuals,” the VK press service said. Parental controls will appear in the next updates.
In addition, self-employed individuals will be able to connect the monetization of their applications. You can earn in RuStore through in-app purchases, subscriptions and paid apps. Monetization conditions are the same for both legal entities and self-employed.
Earlier today, Kommersant announced the appearance in RuStore of applications from foreign developers, including TikTok, Opera Mini and Skype Lite. The application is published by the Portuguese distribution platform.
RuStore is an analogue of Google Play, it is available only for Android devices. The app store was launched in May 2022 amid sanctions due to the start of a special operation in Ukraine and the removal of a number of Russian apps from the App Store and Google Play. VK is developing it together with other IT companies with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development.
