The Russian app store RuStore (similar to Google Play, available only for Android devices) has left the beta testing mode and allowed foreign developers to place applications, informed press service of VK, which developed the service.
Now users have access to about 5,000 applications, editorial collections with relevant content, adaptive search and the ability to leave reviews and ratings.
For foreign developers, the interface was translated into English, they will be able to receive payments, information about purchases, their quantity and cost. In total, there are 3,500 publishers on the platform, of which half are small developers. In the near future, it is planned to update the design of the store, added to VK.
The RuStore app store was launched in May 2022 amid sanctions due to the start of a special operation in Ukraine and the removal of a number of Russian apps from the App Store and Google Play. VK is developing it together with other IT companies with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development. According to VK, in November last year, the store had about 3,000 applications. Since launch, the store has been installed more than 3.5 million times. In October, the monthly audience of RuStore exceeded 7 million users. January at the store appeared paid apps.
