In 2024, the cost of imported alcohol will increase. This is due to an increase in excise tax by 7.5 percentage points in August this year. This was reported by Telegram-Mash channel.
According to the source, in January European wines will rise in price by 10%, and in six months the price will double. If now wine from a supermarket costs around 300 rubles, then by summer the cost will be 600.
In addition, the price for strong alcohol will also increase – from 600 to 650 rubles per liter. If the drink contains less than 9 degrees, then its cost will increase by 26 rubles.
But despite this, by the New Year, domestic alcohol will become 5-10% cheaper. Experts claim that this is due to the huge supply of alcohol.
