Vice-President of the Russian Guild of Realtors Oleg Samoilov in a conversation with radio “TVNZ“explained what the mortgage market is doing now and what will happen to it in the future.
According to the expert, one cannot expect positive prospects for now. The secondary market was “killed”, but on the primary market everything is much more interesting. Representatives of new housing funds will defend the preferential mortgage program, since this is the only option under which citizens can purchase an apartment.
Oleg Samoilov noted that the Central Bank is now trying to save the market from the mortgage “bubble”, as there is already a tendency for its development.
The realtor also emphasized that you should not expect a decrease in the cost of primary housing. The price will not fall in the coming year, and may even increase.
As for the secondary market, apartments in it will become cheaper. This market will continue to exist, but in a mass format “will be dead.”
