According to SberCorus Security Director Ivan Dmitriev, banks do not require entering a PIN code for an electronic signature or transferring a certified key carrier – a token, unlike hackers. He emphasized that employees of a certification center, bank and other organizations will never insist on installing programs for remote technical support on your phone or computer. They will also not require you to enter a PIN code for the electronic signature key or transfer a token. In case of doubt, it is recommended to stop the conversation and contact the official support service.

Dmitriev explained that in the digital space, an electronic signature can become the target of hacker attacks, ranging from phishing to account hacking and theft of personal data. Hackers can gain access to an electronic signature and commit illegal actions on behalf of the owner. Every week there are attempts to exploit vulnerabilities.

The expert noted that devices are subject to attacks through vulnerabilities in software using software for automatic password selection, as well as third-party applications from unreliable sources. This is especially dangerous for Android devices, as this can lead to rooting the phone – going beyond the user’s authority, changing system files and installing third-party programs and firmware.
