In Russia, maternity and child care benefits will increase in 2025
In Russia, from 2025, maternity benefits will increase to 794 thousand rubles. For child care up to one and a half years old for a working mother – up to 69 thousand rubles. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Olga Batalina during the 25th Congress of Pediatricians “Current Problems of Pediatrics” in Russia.
According to her, the increase in cash benefits will occur due to the merger of the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund into the Social Fund and the introduction of a single tariff for insurance contributions.
Currently, the maximum amount of benefits for pregnancy is 565 thousand rubles, and for child care – 49 thousand rubles. Batalina added that indexing maternity capital will allow Russians to save money, even if they spend it in stages.
