Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said that average life expectancy in Russia has reached a historical maximum of 73.5 years.

Murashko also said that the main thing for his department is “increasing life expectancy”, as well as “reducing mortality rates below the pre-pandemic period, reducing child mortality.” Among other things, he stated that “Russia is the only country in the world” that conducts such a “colossal amount of research” during pregnancy and immediately after childbirth.
