The TourDom portal reported that the German national airline Lufthansa refused to allow tourists from Russia to land in Europe. It is specified that this happened due to suspicions of illegal emigration.
The incident occurred on February 7 on a flight from Istanbul to San Jose. At the same time, the plane was supposed to make a transit transfer at Frankfurt am Main Airport.
At the Turkish airport, an employee of the air carrier refused to allow tourists from Russia to fly and did not let them on the flight. They were suspected of wanting to illegally cross the border of the United States of America and stay there.
According to an airline employee, the passengers looked like migrants. However, they were not provided with any oral explanations or documentary justification.
