Russians handed subpoenas to the military registration and enlistment office on the Georgian border

Subject to conscription as part of the partial mobilization announced in Russia, citizens receive summons to the military registration and enlistment office when they try to cross the border with Georgia. This was reported in the press service of the head and government of North Ossetia TASS. Previously in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic declaredthat at the checkpoint “Upper Lars” on the border with Georgia in the near future a mobilization point of the military registration and enlistment office will be deployed.

“On the border with Georgia, there is a task force on conscription, including representatives of the military registration and enlistment office and representative authorities. They check on the road whether a person is liable for military service, whether he is subject to conscription. If there is information about what is subject to conscription, then in this case he is handed a summons, ”the agency’s interlocutor said.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, about 5.5 thousand cars in North Ossetia are waiting to pass through the Russian-Georgian border, including 3.6 thousand cars. Because of the long lines of power in North Ossetia allowed Russian citizens walking to the Verkhny Lars checkpoint.

President Vladimir Putin announced about the beginning of partial mobilization in the country on September 21. The next day, a long line of cars formed on the border of the Russian Federation with Georgia. Because of this, the police recommended do not enter Georgia through Upper Lars. Due to the congestion of cars, it is allowed to cross the checkpoint on foot. FSB sent to the border with Georgia armored personnel carriers, ostensibly in case the reservists break through the border.
