Russians from the Gaza Strip begged for help. “If we are evacuated to Moscow, where will we live, for what?” According to residents of the enclave, most do not have warm clothes, and their documents have been burned.

There is no talk yet about the evacuation of Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip. Or rather, there is no understanding of how soon this will happen: the lists have been drawn up, the Russian side is ready to accept refugees. “The consul tells us that the embassy is working in this direction, they say, expect some kind of decision in the near future. But I think this does not depend on them; Egypt does not open the checkpoint. We can only hope that the situation will be resolved,” says one of the women living in the enclave.

According to the interlocutor, the evacuation lists are getting shorter every day.

– In addition to Russians, the group for evacuation to Russia also includes Ukrainians and Belarusians. But the list is gradually shrinking, people are dying. Last Tuesday, the children of a Ukrainian woman died. Their parents went to Kharkov, wanted to buy an apartment there, and left the children with their grandmother.

The woman says that people have no understanding of how the situation will develop after the evacuation.

– The girls ask for help in advance, at least with warm clothes. Almost everyone in summer clothes didn’t think about clothes when they ran. It’s warm here, it’s not as cold as in Moscow. And there was almost no money left. Someone’s documents burned. We are worried that if we are evacuated, what will happen to us upon arrival in Russia? For example, my parents are in Moscow, they bought us everything. What should those who have no relatives in the capital or in the country do? And there are still children in our arms. Maybe they will collect some help for us? Our situation is hopeless.

The situation in the enclave itself is deteriorating every day. Fuel is running out, as are food.

– There is a catastrophic shortage of fuel. Hospitals are shutting down one by one. Only the main hospital, Al-Shifa, which is located in the northern part, is standing. There is no light, doctors operate with flashlights. Gasoline has run out, people are driving on gas cylinders. There is still gas. From food only canned food – stew, tuna, bean hummus, sausage. We buy these cans wherever we can find them. Puts it away in reserve. There will be enough supplies for a maximum of a week. Humanitarian aid seems to be coming, but nothing reaches us.
