In 2023, the audience of artificial intelligence (AI) services increased by 3.5 times, and their mobile traffic tripled. Yota reports this with reference to its own research conducted on the basis of big data for 2022–2023.
The most popular neural network in Russia turned out to be “Masterpiece,” which Yandex launched in April 2023. The second place in popularity is occupied by Kandinsky from Sber. They both provide users with the ability to create visual images from text descriptions. The top three popular services is closed by Mubert, which can generate music upon user request.
People aged 36–45 years use AI most often—they account for 32% of the audience. They are followed by the categories 26–35 years old (31%) and 46–55 years old (18%). The greatest increase in the popularity of neural networks was recorded among young people aged 14 to 21 – in 2023, the number of such users increased 11 times. Men use services more actively than women—they make up 59% of the audience on such platforms. On average, Russians spend almost an hour a month working with AI services.
